To be a family of believers who seek to glorify God and share His love with all people.
Missions of HFBC:
Reaching people for Jesus, strengthening their faith through Bible study and prayer.
1.Enjoying the presence of God in worship, caring for each other in times of need
2.Building an environment of Christian love and fellowship
HFBC believes that Jesus is LORD Himself and He is Central to the Christian faith, and that the Church is the highest institution for Christians. For, Jesus said, “…On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Mt.16:18). It is our duty to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to people, leading them to Jesus, helping them to grow in Christ and preaching the Word given to us and sharing the same with others. For, we are asked to “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine…”2 Tim.4:2&3.
Our Core Values:
We have adopted the core values of First Baptist Church – St. Simons Island, Georgia
We study and teach God’s written word, acknowledge its authority and celebrate the story of the revelation of God, inspired by Him and written by His people, so that all might come to know the Living Word, Jesus Christ.
We are committed to pray faithfully, both individually and as a church, seeking God’s will.
We are welcoming and inclusive of all people in worship that exalts God with awe and wonder, celebrates Christ with joyful song and thanksgiving, and submits to the Holy Spirit in reverence and humility.
We are dedicated to the stewardship of our lives and resources, recognizing our spiritual gifts, and offering them sacrificially and joyfully to God through service to His church.
We share the love of Christ and offer His redeeming grace by meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our community and the world.
We embrace the diversity of our congregation and are committed to develop unity and common purpose, enabling all to participate, to serve, and to lead.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers, affirming the freedom and responsibility to relate to God in our own personal way, as we are led by the Holy Spirit.
Present Ministries at HFBC:
Presently the primary focus of HFBC is to cater to the spiritual, moral and physical needs of people who migrated from other parts of India and neighboring countries to cities of India such as Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, etc. for survival, education and job opportunities.
The activities at HFBC are as follows:
We worship the Lord at three locations on three different days:
1. At 11 am on Sundays in our Church Building (Anjinappa Layout)
2. At 3pm on Tuesdays (Indira Nagar), and
3. At 3pm on Wednesday (Whitefield) respectively; after each worship service,Members spend time interacting with each other and making new friends.
As the next generation is one of the important concerns of HFBC, the church appoints six qualified teachers not only to take care of Sunday School children on Sundays, but to be ready at all times to lead them to the Lord.
As 90 percent of our church members work at unorganized sectors such as restaurants, garment shops, private security, beauty salons, etc. most of them have no off on Sunday; so HFBC has organized several prayer cells across the city for Bible Courses such as NT & OT Survey, Systematic Theology, etc. to teach and pray with these church members and reach others through them.
Visiting Family or Individual:
This is a regular ongoing activity.
Fountain Sport Day:
As our target group loves sport, we set a side one day for sports to refresh our members and reach them through games and sports, such as Football, Volley Ball, Running Races, Tug of War etc. etc. in order to attract youth.
